Recently, poet and teacher Scott Beal was asked to come up with a poem in a group setting based on some form of fandom. His group was given Star Wars. Thus was birthed “Sometimes I wonder if maybe those were the droids we were looking for”. He asked me if I had any Star Wars figures and I replied “Yes” and “Why?”, as I had no intention of letting them out of the house. He explained the project and that by the end of April a video would need to have been created.
An idea was hatched. I would make a stop-motion film centered around the poem. We would record Scott reciting it. Mix, combine, render and out came a hastily put together but charmingly glorious video.
The work is done. Scott has yet to submit it, so this is forthcoming. In the meantime enjoy some of these behind the scenes pictures!
